In celebration of International Women’s Day, our President & CEO, Jenn Quader, attended the Women’s Day CREW-OC luncheon.

Inside the standing-room-only event, we learned the results of the new CREW Network “Building the CRE Workforce of the Future” research report.

Inspiring insights were shared from expert panelists: Ariel R. Bedell (Shareholder at Loftin Bedell); Emily Pollard (Director of Marketing at BKM Capital); Lynn Galuppo (Founder of Galuppo Law); Pauline Hale (EVP at JLL Valuation Advisory); Tiffany English (Sr. Director of Architecture at Qualcomm), and Yunia Lubega (Sr. Director and Head of DEI at Marcus & Millichap)

Some highlights:

> 88% of companies are actively trying to hire talent.

> And yet, nearly 1 in 5 respondents said their company is not yet adapting to the needs to today’s workforce.

> A key issue is lack of company mentorship and sponsorship programs. In 2022, only 56% of survey respondents had access to a mentor or sponsor.

> 76% of respondents wish their company would provide more mental health resources. Ideas included mental health paid time off, stress management tools and apps, access to counseling, and more team building/bonding activities.

The results make it very clear: we need real relationships to support this real property industry and continue to create meaningful communities.

These are real women helping other women, and it’s making a real difference to our industry.

Kudos to you, CREW-OC!
